Seto-yaki From Aichi, Japan

Seto-yaki (Seto-ware) is a type of pottery produced in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, and has a history spanning around 1,000 years, continuing to evolve even today.

It is a masterpiece of Japanese ceramic craftsmanship, renowned for its beautifully white clay body. This clay is highly fire-resistant and flexible, containing very little iron, which allows for delicate shapes and a wide variety of decorative techniques.

As a result, Seto-yaki is not only used for tableware and ornaments but is produced in a wide range of types and styles, loved by people all over the world.
